Use the Window when you are Dreaming

yesterday bec and i went to the Delerious? concert, with much thanks to John for the free tickets. though im sure we would have gone regardless.

i woke up yesterday and was quite happy to discover the fact that it was raining. bec came online after a while and said that she thought we should go shopping on Bridge road before the concert. i told her that that was exactly what i was thinking too.
we left my house at about 12, got into the city at 1:30, and proptly went to Maccas for lunch. there was a chick who got into our train carriage at Ringwood, swearing her head off. she was smoking still. she walked the length of the carriage and stood outside, inbetween the carriages smoking. she lit up another, and then it started raining. she went into the other carriage and smoked in it. bec and i were glad we were in the on we were in.

and it wasnt too hot for jazz. (:P)

anyway, after maccas for lunch we breifly went into word so that Bec could buy Blue Like Jazz (which i definatly plan to borrow at some point...) and then we went over to Fed Square. bec went a little button crazy in the NGV shop there, which i told her was completely alright. and i bought a few cards to stick on my wall. i was actually looking for a picture of "a Girl with the Pearl Earing" but didnt find one.

walking back to flinders street station, i asked bec when the last time she had been in St Pauls cathedral was. and then decided that we should go in. so we did. the inside was a lot different to how i rememebr it to be, as they have been restoring it. i bought another two cards at the shop there. i actually didnt think too much about God while in the building. i think back now and realise that i probably should have, that it was such a pointer to God. but i didnt.

took the train to West Richmond, got off, and went to Bridge road.
what followed was a lovely day of shopping.
four tops, for $20. 3 boxes, for the same price.
tried on a very lovely black and white dress, which i actually really really liked. a pity it was over $100.
all the shops smelt different. one very much like a hair dressers, one like sickly sweet medicine, another like fake cherries.
i saw my blue and brown dress, which i bought from Valley Girl (ok, so technically my mum bought) in a few shops, for a little, or a lot more than was paid for mine. this made me smile.

on bridge road there are some really cool shops. vintage, retro ones. ones that i can really imagine Becs younger sisters absolutly loving, and that i can imagine one of our friends Ana absolutly loving. i like them too, but wouldnt buy any clothes there. im too ordinary in my fashion for that.

i kept on gettng buisness cards and the like from various shops. they are very fun to send to people, same as price dockets, little pictures, confetti and glitter.

(*reminds self to buy more stamps*)

went to an indian resuraunt for dinner. the lady didnt seem too pleased that all we were ordering was some roti, but she had to serve us anyway.

finally we made our way to richmond AOG, and noted the long line. saw jane inline with some of her friends. and they kept on going till we reached Jess (of the accountability group varierty). stood there for a while, until some guy went along the line tell people that if we didnt have tickets in our hands we needed to go in a get them. so we did.
it took them a bit longer to find bec and i's tickets, but that was just amusing.

we got in, found seats, and waited. Bec was watching for Paul. Stennett climbed over the seats and talked to us for a while. when paul arrived she acted very much herself and i think that annoyed him greatly. i was laughing.

concert was good. i didnt know many of the Delerious? songs, only some of the older ones. but that was alright. they had lots of speakers, and their bass turned up a bit too much. i bopped for the first while. then sat down. bec gave me an evil look when i started messageing, and so i didnt do that any more. much complaining on my behalf.
i lent back, closed my eyes, and just listened to the music.
i dozed.
(becuase i couldnt really fall completely asleep... people kept on touching my nose. *looks at bec*)
anyway. i did doze though. some people wonder how i could do that, with the music so loud and all. but i let the music and the bass vibrations lull me to sleep. i can sleep to almost anything noise level, as long as the noise pattern is constant. i can very rarely sleep to the tv turned down low, or to two people talking, or to my dad playing piano. but yet i can at a loud concert.
yeah, im weird.

after wards rowan came over and talked to us. bec introduced him to paul, as a fellow introverted christian geek. i laughed. bec and i had had a good cackle about that during the day, and im glad she introduced him as such. rowan laughed.
talked with him for a while.
paul began to pick on me. i dont quite know how to take it. its not picking on and then big grin so i know their joking. its picking on, straight face, almost like its what they really think. i try and be strong and not let it affect me, and actually just think it is joking. but that silly irrational part of my mind says otherwise.
im not as strong as i sometimes appear to be.

i mean, if you like some one and are friends with them, you dont be mean to them. i just cant get the being mean concept around in my head. even in playfulness there is a line you dont cross, unless you are an early teenage guy and enjoy making girls cry.
guys are annoying... well.. not all of them...
oh grr, i stick with my previous statement of

sekfhb we rkh ewf,ne
wermd

and thats it...

Heh. My gift of free tickets was useful then. If not, you would have payed $25 to sleep, where i let you do it for free :P

lol.
