Movies

ahh. life is good. :)

yes, true, i havent had nearly enough sleep for the past two days, but i am rather happy.

i spent last night at becs house. we went and borrowed some movies, the majority of them art house (remind me to look in the art house section more often).

basic run down,

I Capture the Castle - apparently based on a book which bec has read. good. three stars. she says that its pretty close to the book.

Mullet - australian movie. weird. rather weird. interesting bits. some good quotes for me to think about. three stars too

Raise your Voice - we borrowed this becuase we wanted a chick flick. a mindless feel good movie. what a pathetic dissapointment. a really bad movie. and i used to be a hilary duff fan. as in, it was REALLY bad... there were some redeeming facts, like one of the charachters was really cool, funny, and kinda eccentric. and the music was cool. but apart from that. half a star.

Peices of April - arthouse. all i can say is utter brilliance! such a wonderful movie. really, really good. i recommend it to all! four and a half stars.

Girl with a Pearl Earing - good movie. not excellent, but not terrible. based on a book, based on a painting by johannes vermeer. i liked it, but wouldnt go out of my way to see it again. i do like the painting though. three stars.

Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind - the only word that came to my mind after finishing seeing is was "wow". such a weird movie. very very good, another arthouse. i definatly recommend this one too. four and a half stars.

i couldnt convince bec to watch Spirited Away. oh well...

i dont have much else to say. i think im a bit too tired to properly write a blog, mind you, sometimes those are the best times to write them.

i think i have finally come to the realisation that sometimes, talking about things only makes you think of them, and that can be bad. like guys. i dont want to be thinking about them, but talking about them makes them invade my mind.
