happenings of being Old...
i am old!
yes, i can say that now... i turned 18 yesterday for all those of you who forgot.. not that its such a big deal anyway...
anyway.. a lot has happened since the last time i blogged.
where to start, at the beginning i suppose.
mr green is no longer... we skirted around the issue, well, more to the point, the fact that there is no issue. not on his part. and im too much of a realist to pursue something thats one sided. so yes.. thats ended...
went out for birthday dinner on saturday night. its a think my family does. for each of our burthdays we go out to a resturaunt of their choosing. the york on lilydale. a nice bistro type of resturaunt... is getting better over the years. the carpet is still horrendous though...
cajun prawn risotto... a little spicey, but then i dont have a very high tolerance for that sort of thing.
stole some of dads chips. he got steak. pearl got some home made gnocci stuff, which was nice...
got home... got lonely and tired.. and was still grumpy... moped about on msn until i couldnt stand being awake any longer.
it was nice to see burkie online again... i must admit ive missed him.. well.. as much as you can miss someone over msn...
i got my first (second really) happy birthday message at 10 to 12... it made me smile... i slept rather well until i woke up at 8 the nest day.
i sung a soft happy birthday to myself. it might have been in my head, or actually out loud.. i dont think it matters.
church was alright... sermon was on Psalm 46. God being a mighty fortress and refuge, and that sort of stuff. it went for a little whole. but that was ok, becuase the minister used lots of stories, so i could half listen to them, and draw...
lords supper also... went bare footed again... i like bare feet...
i guess i could rant on here about whether you should dress up for church or not... but what would the point be. i dont dress up for church. i love being comfortable... sunday morning services are just in a church building... i mean... God is always with us, and is everywhere... and so on, and so forth.. so why dress up? saying that, i respect people who do, i mean, just cause i think one thing, doesnt mean they have to...
ha! how post modern of me...
anyway... got home and got semi bored... i lay on the couch and almost fell asleep, for an hour or two. there was nothing on tv worth watching... sport, sport and more sport...
i decided then that i would go sit outside in the sun for a while... so i perched on the trailer and tried to get comfy. mum phoned then. that was nice.
going to visit her in a week... 11th - 16th or december... i look forward to it...
then bec phoned. to go out for afternoon tea. we haddnt eaten lunch yet, so we set a time later (which i ended up changing to a later time anyway)...
anyway, roast chicken was nice... for lunch...
then bec came and we wandered up to morrisons, which is slowly becoming our cafe... not enough to know any of the people there, but, its the one we go to...
had cheesecake of the raspberry variety, with some funky looking cream, which melted... and iced coffees. basically the only way i drink coffee, as im not a hot drink fan... goes straight through me...
anyway, there was a photography exhibition thingy there, so after we had finished we had a little look there.
another old lady commented on my nice green handbag... bec found that very amusing... i just smiled...
walked back to becs house. after a little bit of wondering what we would do, we decided to be artistic... went through becs box of mystery to find all her art type stuff. and old picture books to cut up... i loved her coin collection... my own one looked very pale in comparison... very small...
i ended up drawing, cutting up, and rubbing my picture. and writing on it... when i could be bothered i'll take a photo of it, and put it on my flickr site (which i do update you know)...
ate dinner there, didnt go to church.. and walked up to my house at 8:30ish, before it got too dark to be able to...
got home, and was just about to start my own little bit of artisticness, and the phone rang. Jess of the best friend variety. chatted to her, or listened more to the point, until i looked over my uni infor and found out my enrolment day was the next day, at 10am! not in the evening like i had previously thought. got off the phone to jess... cancelled my shopping day with bec, and walked around the house not really knwoing what to do.. i was stressed, and worried, and nervous...
money thing was an issue.. what i had to pay and all that stuff, but that was ok when i read the fine print and semi had an idea...
i begged, quite literally, for april to come with me... she relented, had mercy and gave in. i thanked her profusely.. in fact she was very good through it all.. here was i, stressing, almost crying, and she was being very nice and helpful, and trying to help me in anyway she could.. give me reassurance...
went to bed trying desperatly not to worry, so i could get some sleep... it semi worked... i woke at 7 this morning with crazy vivid dreams going through my head...
i dragged myself out of bed, tired, and forced myself to eat a piece of toast...
we cought the 8am bus...
ended up getting to swinburne miles early... an hour and a half in fact, but that was ok... we were the first there...
over all the thing went for about 1 and a half hours. finished up at 10 to 12. it was alright. i put in the units i wanted to study next year. for both sem 1 and sem 2... got everything cheched and stamped and photocopied, and stapled, and paid for... and then i got my student card... actually the photo on it is a nice one compared to some others ive seen.
went and caught the bus..
tried to get in contact with bec, to go join her at knox... which i did...
the train, and then the bus (which i walked quickly to catch in time) saw darryn... waved hello and said a quick conversation.. but i had to get on my bus...
which took me to knox...
met up with bec, and went shopping with her for the afternoon. it was nice.. i like shopping with her...
and thats been my two days.. i know.. how interesting...
now i am tired again... *yawns*
