guys and culture
*smiles*
lovely day... even if i did miss my train...
finished my homework, even if it was really crap.. final write up for event... i scored bec, jane and dave lots of kudos for all that they did...
caught my bus to ringwood.. i had it all planned out. my bus would get into ringwood 10 minutes before my train left, and i get into ringwood on time.. except i needed to go pee... and i didnt think it would take 10 minutes.. but apparently it does... how annoying...
but i just caught the next train...
on the bus there was this old lady, swearing into her phone, about something or another... i almost cried. i was filled with such sympathy it almost overwhelmed me...
but i got control of my emotions.
arrived in the city, via the city loop, and went onto flinders street steps, but there was no burkie... scanned the crowd, and there he was, leaning against the fence... he was trying to hide from me...
we walked down to spencer street, caught a tram, and arrived at albert park... very lovely...
waited around for bec for a few minutes...
bought lunch (pie, and mango juice)(sorry bout the mango bec) and went and sat down on some nice grass...
and then i noticed how much green was around, and Said Person got re namedMr Green...
i seriously dont remember telling burkie who he was... weird... though im not exactly very subtle at times...
and yes bec, i know i dont know him.. and i know that you think thats silly.. and i am at the stage that i could like him if i let myself... and do i want to like him?
*sighs* sometimes its easier if i dont tell any one these things, liking, crushes, those sorts of stuff.. cause other peoples reactions and feelings play into my own and then i get even more confused...
how well can you know some one with out meeting them? how well can you know someone in three or four months? how well can you know someone over the internet...
crazyness...
err.. anyway. after lunch bec had to get back to work, and so burkie and i caught the tram back to the city... and apparently i have lived now.. i have felt burkies head.. it was.. err.. smooth?
any way... walked down burke street, got slurpees, then sat and talked for a while... tried kicking the pidgeons... then walked down to flinders street again... just missed my train...
waited 20 minutes for the next one... there was an old lady on there who asked for my MX, so i gave it to her, then, when she got off, she swore and yelled at the girls who were coming in the door...
tried to listen to a convo by two guys after i heard the words "bible bashing" but they were just that little bit too far away, and not talking loudly...
at ringwood these two kids came on. well, a guy and a girl. girl would have been, oh, 16 maybe, the boy was younger. she was wearing a "jesus is my homeboy" tshirt, and by her actions she wasnt a christian. (yes, i know, how judgemental) anyway.. it got me thinking..
has jesus just become another fashion item? a famous face comercialised and put onto tops, key rings, book marks? like Mao, or Che Guevera...? does anyone actually know what he stood for, or what he did? does anyone actually know him...?
does anyone know who Mao, or Che were? or what they did? or what they stood for?
another cultural fashion item, another fashion acsessory... how sad...
so a day of thinking about guys, and culture...
hey bout the telling people your crushes and stuff i went thru it all in high school, i used to get so many comments when i liked someone or they would just laugh and stuff, not saying this happened here but thats just my experience and about the getting to know someone, in 3 or 4 months over the internet, u can know someone a bit but not everything bout them comes out in that time ,they could be covering stuff up, they might not be to, u dont know until u meet the person and get to know them a bit more in say another few weeks or months. Its really hard finding out someones character and all that stuff over the internet
