Santa Claus is Coming to Town
so i walked into church yesterday, and apart from the daggy christmas carols playing, the church had been somewhat decorated 'christmas style'. tinsel and a large baubel and tinsel covered christmas tree.
and it got me thinking. why have we brought in commercialised christmas things into the church? atleast there wasnt a santa, or reindeer. but whats wrong with something, oh you know, biblical being a part of the christmas decorations. like, you know, jesus...
am i wrong to get annoyed over secular and commercial christmas decorations in a church, where they could have placed a manger, or a large star, or even a sheep, and had the same effect of christmas-ness.
oh, and by the way, i dislike santa.
Yeah Cristmas really really really sucks... my poor mum... having to listern to me complaing about christmas all day. Christmas is all about being selfish and I reckon decorations have no place in a church... I reckon the most a church should do is maybe have a nice morning tea? Well of course they should talke about Jesus and have non-dodgy christmas carols but they shouldnt have anything thats not christian orientated. Christmas lights piss me off the most... actually santa does... but think of all the wasted money in the useless lights. Santa is wrong and no one can change my mind on that!
