Smile

Steve has gone home. he was here for 4 and a bit days.
i had a wonderful weekend.
the gush meet was on friday afternoon, and i didnt suck as badly as i thought i did at mini golf. seeing lots of people who i rarely see in person was nice, if not a touch strange. as you know them, but you dont really know them in real life so trying to figure them out comes into the equation.
my party was on saturday, including all the pre party stress. my dress was gorgeous, i just kept attacking it all afternoon. strapless dresses and i generally dont get along. (hopefully someone took some photos so i can show you :)) i had fun on saturday, though i must admit, i did start to actually enjoy myself when more people left. not because i didnt like them but because i think i like smaller parties. you can get to talk to people more.
i sat on my bed and had a little chat with jo jo, which was wonderful. and jess (and elly) suprised me by actually turning up.
on sunday, steve and i watched a movie with my sister and her boyfriend and then played scrabble. and thanks to my triple score "z" (for zero) i ended up winning :). there was some slight cheating involved, but i still won by 20 or so points.
monday steve and i went to see the new bond movie, and i must admit, it wasnt as great as i thought it would be. it was a touch confusing, as, apparently, it was supposed to be how bond became 007, or his first mission, but yet it was all set in 2006, where as the very first bond was way back in the 60's. thus my confusion. it was an alright movie otherwise, but not brilliant, and wouldnt buy it on dvd.
and now its tuesday. i will have to go back into my normal routine, early night tonight and work tomorrow. something to stop me sitting at home being bored and lonely.
the photos above are from when i was in perth at the end of september. steves good friend tara took them, with her flashy camera. he gave me two framed photos (the above) for my birthday, and a couple other sizes of the same photos. i love them. i love photos, of my friends, of me and my friends.
and the blog title is Smile by pete murray, off his See the Sun album.
