smells

today was one of those days which made me stand up and notice the smells around me.

the musty-ness of an old book.
that distinct op shop smell.
the crisp winters air.
daphnie.
jonquils.
mandarins.
my pink lady apple.
chocolate.
the smell of damp eucalypt trees.

so many clear, so many smells that i normally take for granted.

God created all of them, and i sing his praises because of it.
