human touch

we walk around our lives, our days, our society and we stay in our own little shells. we dont get out of our little personal space bubbles to extend ourselves to anyone else.
human touch is such a precious thing. it is vital for children when they are growing up.

i know how valuable it is. i think most people know how valuable it is. the simple act of touching someones hand, their arm, their back. not sexually, or abusivly, but ordinary touch.

children are renound for it. their amazing ability to just not care about the red tape that society has in place to protect them. protect us.
the kids at kids klub wrap their arms around you, always want to sit on your lap. and because of socity, and 'protection' they arent allowed to. sit on your lap expecially. we have to keep our hands where they can be seen.

human touch expresses love. affection, and the genuine care that someone, anyone, out there wants to be with you.

im not sure exactly where this post is going.
i love human touch, physical touch. not sensual, or abusive. but a simple touch conveys more than 1000 words.

in kids klub yesterday, during bible time. one of the stories we looked at was when jesus reached out and touched the lepper. someone who had probably npot had anyone touch him in many years, was touched by someone who cared. who loved.
i only wish to love people as much as jesus did. and its so hard. not the loving people necessarily. but the stopping being selfish part, and extending myself, and knowing that one day i will be hurt. and that not everyone will want to be loved, and loving them, showing them and loving them regardless.

Ah Sam, you're like a broken record. You keep repeating the same thing. About loving people and not being selfish

It's all good though- as long as you're getting somewhere

Something our youth paster said the other night about the importance of human contact, is there was an experiment done somewhere apparently where they had two babies, one they left in a crib and just fed it when necessary and the other they gave attention and affection. after awhile the baby that had no affection died.

So human contact is one of the most important things in life.

beautiful. The photo and the post.

a good post :D
this was in the sunday times, out main newspaper in perth :)

Another great story is of the woman who had the flow of blood that Jesus healed... With the crowds thronging around Him, He still knew her touch had occured.

Human touch is so powerful, a precious jewel indeed, especially as you said, in pure, loving and right contexts.
