turkish delight memories

so what shall i type in here. it doesnt pay to dwell on the sad parts, as eveyone has their own issues they have to deal with, and i just need to get over my own.
its almost 7pm on a tuesday evening, and im tired. tired from a full day of uni today. tired from not getting enough sleep. and... well, just plain tired.

uni today was fine enough. 7am wake ups are going to be hated (yes, this coming from the girl who gets up at 1:30am for work. but thats dfferent!). was told by my cultural perspectves lecturer (from now on known as Elizabeth) that it will begin at 9, not 8:30. this doesnt change when i catch the bus though. sigh.
i chuckled a bit, because all of the swinburne system was down so therefore the lecture couldnt be done. instead we had elizabeth and cathy (the other lady running it) telling us about the course.
i had been praying that morning that i had some classes with Kate again. kate is one of my uni friends, who is really rather lovely. turns out we have psychology together, both the lecture and the tute. she has a three year old son, and i really like talking to her. this semester we dont have the delightful sally with us as she is due in 4 weeks and needs to take some time off and have her baby. sally is opinionated, and in a lot of ways reminds me off BF Jess.

anyway. psych was... boring. the whole subject doesnt really interest me. but i have to do it. i'd prefer sociology, but that timetable clashes with my media one. *sigh*

went out last night to a YITS shindig at Iains house. bec took us to the room number ;) but that got sorted out. *chuckles* a good night, where i may have snapped a little too much at bec for a comment at the beginning of the night. but generally it was a good evening, with eating of icecream from the tub, massages and phone calls from steve, the boyf :).

getting home, and going to bed at a good time, i am drifting off to sleep when i hear my phone ring. its burkie. im going, what...? so, i answer. and who do i hear but burkie and beth (and a really shoddy connection). so the conversation goes for 10ish minutes before i tell them to go away, and go back to sleep.

unfortunatly, it only made me miss steve even more. *sighs*

the sunrise this morning was beautiful. golden sun rays coming in through the little bit of mist. glorious and aweing. and then it was covered by fog. fog for the rest of the day until it struggled to break through at 2ish.

to bed early i go tonight. have to get up at 2:15am for work. yay for working two days a week. (yes, you are supposed to note the sarcasm there).

I am loving psych more than I thought I would. Development has turned out to be surprisingly cool, and personality is next, so I've got no doubt that'll be sweet as. The pracs are AWESOME!

Instead of sitting around answering questions out of a text book (commerce subjects), we had 2 exercises in our first tute. One of them was getting a "hypothetical" and discussing questions in a group. Ours was imagine ur baby was likely to become a violent criminal, and you found this out through genetic screening. How would you change your behaviour as parents, how would you feel, respond etc.Other groups had gay, neurotic etc. It was awesome discussing all this stuff.

I love psych. Psych rules. Dont bag psych.

Psych plug over!
