Mirror Image?

Morning my dearly loved avid blog reader, you know who you are.

do you find it a little weird when you look at someone, and can see that they look like their mother, or father. well, generally, if i know my friends parents (or even random people with their parents) i can see the family resemblance.
best friend jess looks like her father, Bec looks like her father, Kat from college looks like her mother.. and so on....
but i never thought of myself as looking like one of my parents. yesterday changed that.
i was looking through some photos i took on sunday (and no, they have all been deleted), and was amazed at how much i look like my mother.
well, you know, apart from the fact i have blonde hair, she brown, and i have blue eyes and she has green, but the majority of the rest of me looks like my mother.
i have previously been told i look like my Oma (grandma for Dutch people), becuase of my smile, and yes, i can see it.

i know genetics has a lot to do with it. and i love genetics....
perhaps seeing people looking like their parents is not the way it should be done. perhaps i should look at the individual and just appreciate them for their uniqueness...
