Let it all out

"the difference between an admirer and a follower still remains, no matter where you are. the admirer never makes any true sacrifices. he always plays it safe. though in words, phrases, songs, he is inexhaustable about how hughly he praizs Christm he renounces nothing, guves uo nothing, will never reconstrust his life,. will not be what he admires and will not let his life express what it is he supposedly adires" Soren Kierkegaard

Jesus calls us to follow him. out of our lives. to drop what we are doing and to follow him.
he does not force us to follow him. he invites. to follow him. to dailey deny ourselves and to pick up our cross and follow him.
follow him to the cross. to the daily dieing.
the sacrifice.

God knows that this will hurt. he never pretended it wouldnt. he never says "follow me and i will make your life happy. i will make sure you never get hurt. i will make sure you have lots of money. i will make sure you are comfortable and selfish and never have to do anything."
no, he doesnt say that! he says "follow me and i will make you fishers of men. you will have pain. you will hurt. you will be persecuted. you will suffer for me, and because of me."
but we also comforts us. he is with us, and he loves us. when he says follow me he doesnt leave us alone trying to find our way, no, infact he walks infront of us calling us, gently leading us. he is always there with us.

he calls us to follow him along the hard and thin path.

"cause we're so scared to find out
what this life's all about
so scared we're going to lose it
not knowing all along
that's exactly what we need

and you said I know that this will hurt
but if I don't break your heart then things will just get worse
If the burden seems too much to bear
Remember
the end will justify the pain it took to get us there"
relient k - let it all out.
