beautiful days

good morning my dearly loved avid blog readers (who ever you may be).

it is wednesday morning, my hair is damp from a shower, and the sun is shining wonderfully into my room.
im sitting here, not hungry, listening to Mae, before i head out to the city again. to spend the day with steve.

i havent been online much, because i have been away from the computer, hanging and being with people, irl. bec and i went to the city monday, and we (and steve of course) went to the naional art gallery, and to ACMI (or, something :P). and sat in starbucks for ages.
bec then went home on the train, and steve and i walked back to his hotel (via the botanic gardens...), and then drove home (for dinner. which was spaghetti if you were interested.)
a random drive that night brought us through fern tree gully, and i decided to pop in and say hi to jess (of the best friend variety). as of today, it is one week until she is due. she seemed fine. a bit over the waiting... her and steve got on pretty well (i think). she understood some of his movie quotes :p

tuesday was another trip into the city. alone this time. i had a wonderful conversation with this older couple who were trying to figure out ticketing to get into parliment. i tried to help them, but was unable to know the whole seniors vs concession ticket. so they went and asked one of the connex guys. i went out and was standing in the sun, and they came and began talking to me. it was lovely. the friendliness. indeed, thats even something we mentioned.

yesterday steve and i walked through some arcades (block and the walk... i think i lost royal) then up china town, then to the state library. we looked at microfilm, from the adelaide advertiser, from friday the 4th of december, 1987. i have never looked at the headlines from the year, the day i was born before. let alone look at microfilm...
there were a whole bunch of paintings in the library too.
we got lunch and sat out the from of the library and fed the birds.
after that, we walked back down to go look at fed square art gallery, cause it was closed on monday. there were lots of school kids, going on tours. i remember having to do that. made me chuckle at them.
found the painting love again. a scenery one, by some guy with a long last name. mountains, and grassy green.
we sat on a balcony thingy outside above the yarra, and talked for a while. steve stole my shoe, and made me eat it :p
another walk back to his hotel (well, technically the car park next to it) through the botanic gardens. really beautiful. nature makes me a bit funny. calm, at peace. happy. though that also might have been the company.

after dinner last night (after i almost fell asleep on my bed while april was showing steve all her kitten pictures. shes mad :P) we went out for a drive. up to bourkes look out. was a beautiful night, even if it was a tad cold (can someone say WINTER :P!).
there we talked.

finally we decided that we should be getting back home, as we were both particulary freezing.
once home, a texta war broke out, due to april tipping some water down steve's back. i managed to get out of it, until john suggested (via msn) that i be attacked. so they both attacked me... most of its off...

and, i really should be too. to the city again. a beautiful day indeed.

i'm glad i'm that influential! :D

Are you in love... with the city?

Exactly what I thought :-P. Every day this week! Gosh, don't you have anything else to do? Those bludging uni students using government money to do nothing but socialise and learn how to frivilously waste!!!
