Lament about moving

remind me to do my tax early each year.
i did it last Tuesday (online) and got it back the following Monday.

also, i sometimes feel that i will never move out of home.
it is rather expensive, and i have no one to move out with. i have followed up leads, and started planning, and i continually look for cheap units, but alas it all falls down into a big pile of dreams.
i don't really want to spend half of my weeks pay on rent alone. (which is exactly what will happen if i move out by myself).
and apparently its only going to get more expensive, according to the news last night. land lords putting up prices, or having to sell their rental properties because interest rates are increasing. and more people are trying to rent which means that the already dwindling properties are snatched up quicker (and to the one who can pay more).
and really, people wonder why young adults are staying at home longer and longer. its simply too expensive to move out unless you 1) have heaps of people to live with, 2) earn a lot of money, or 3) know cheap places to live.

Although, spending half your income on rent would be good training if you wanted to buy a house - that's the kind of percentage your mortgage payments would be!

golly, yes it's difficult. We lost our place due we think to increasing interest rates and are hanging off the phone today (and the next week) to see if we get a place. There were SO many people at the open for inspections, it's somewhat ridiculous. and somewhat expensive.

it is so crazy and expensive!

there is so much to budget for - rent, food, fuel, bills, anything that may go wrong...

i worry Jason and I may not be able to find a place to live next year :(

i'd move out with you sam, but i dont want to live near the city. i'm a country girl.
