Green Requiem
i feel like i have given in... *dramatic sigh*
i am now on the over taken by Google version of Blogger.com... i hope its the same as it was before.
(i had no choice, i had been logged out and i couldn't log in again unless i switched)
you know, this actually ties in a lot with what we were talking about in my eCulture class. well, one aspect of it actually.
how easy has it been for Google to come into our society? for one search engine, it has now become part of most of our vocabulary. "i'm just going to go google that", meaning, "im just going to go look that up online."
they have bought blogger and youtube.
microsoft has bought myspace.
BiLo has become coles.
wow, who's up for a monopoly!
in other news. i had my first day of uni today, and, aside from the horrible bus ride with annoying school kids (year 7 and 8 kids who pout at me... ) the day was actually alright.
each class has someone i know in it (so far), books cost $236, and a huge 3.5 hour break in the middle of the day... sounds like a good idea, but is actually quite annoying.
as a matter of fact, i'm a little excited about my media subjects. (i'm doing two media subjects, one sociology subject and one public relations subject).
so, i have to make and keep a blog for my eCulture class, and i'm searching around for a blog title. i'm thinking "Green Requiem".
requiem is a service in the catholic church for the dead, it can also be the music for the services of the dead.
green is the colour, and it is also a slang (american slang) word for money.
the death of money?
(its also the name of a song by Joe Hisaishi, an instrumental song. and its also, i think, the name of a book by someone and there has been a Japanese movie based on the book too.)
